Product Description

Sylic ® Optical Brightener Agent BBU

1. Introduction

BBU is suitable for: Cotton,Chinlon,viscose,T/C,T/R,linen,Wool,Silk. It can be dissolved in warm water, acid and alkali resistant, It has good compatibility with most chemical agents used in dyeing and finishing,used in One-bath dyeing.

3.Applications

1. BBU is tetrasulfonic acid type Styrylbenzene derivative. This model has better solubility, light fastness, stability of acid-alkali than VBL, especially better whiteness at the same dosage. It is blue-purple when dissolving in water.  
2. BBU can be used for whitening of surface sizing, coating…Or used directly, or dissolved in water.

Dosage: granular type BBU to dry paper pulp, raw material 0.1-0.3%, coating 0.1-0.5%,surface sizing0.1-2%
Notes: BBU should be used before alum or cationic auxiliaries when pulp whitening. If for surface sizing, BBU can work with CMC, PVA, starch and anion or cation synthetic sizing agent at the same time. If for coating, BBU should be dissolve in water , then used at any stage of preparation.  

1. Do not use cationic additives.Because may cause conflict with anionic fluorescent whitening agent, that may cause sediment.
2. Water containing metal ions,such as: Cu,Fe,Mn,Zn,will affect the whitening effect of OBBU. For this aspect,Can use metal ion chelating agent to remove in advance.
3. Do not exposed to the sun after dissolution.
4. BBU is a kind of fluorescent dyes with excellent whitening effect,Only use appropriate amount is enough to show whitening effect. If use too much will appear extinction phenomenon.
5. Its dyeing speed is fast, dye uniformity and compatibility is good, so Room temperature bath without additives can dyeing
6. If used in the dye bath containing NaClO2,will effect the whitening effect, so need to remove chlorin fully before use BBU.
